This web page is part of a hosted copy of the WoodWorks eZine at Elfwood.  (#350)
The eZine is no longer updated, nor does it have it's own domain left... This also means that it's no use to contact the WoodWorks editors, etc, etc...

Monthly Editor's Musings
With this issue, Woodworks Monthly finally gets off the ground, accompanied by much frantic behind the scenes termite work. But we've successfully got everything done without anyone losing their mind, so here for your enjoyment is our first monthly installment! Several of the features, such as Reviews and Klimpen's Corner, may already be familiar to you from our launch, but Monthly has added to them many other things of interest. Check out Recommended Reading & Art for some highlights of art and writing in Elfwood, read The Other Side of the Canvas for a peek into what it's like for the model, look to Bifrost and Community Profile for more about the groups that have sprung up around Elfwood, and look at Your Story for unexpected ways Elfwood can impact on its member's lives. And since February is the month of Valentine's Day, many of our columns also feature a theme of love. Enjoy!

Kassandra Siegel,
Monthly Editor

Where have all the articles gone?

You might be wondering why there are no full-length articles in this issue. This might be a good time to tell you what our publishing schedule looks like.

Woodworks is actually made up of two parts: Quarterly and Monthly.

Woodworks Quarterly carried the editorials, articles, interviews and other large bodies of text. It publishes once every 3 months: January, April, July and October.

Woodworks Monthly publishes every month. It comprises of columns, featuring items like recommendations, interesting bits and pieces from all around the Elfwood Community, and monthly necessities like reviews and your horoscopes.

What happens when Monthly collides with Quarterly? Easy. You get twice as many things to read. Two different schedules also mean two editors. Kassandra Siegel is the editor for Monthly, while Georgette Tan lords over Quarterly (and everything else).
