Description

I remember back when the only Malaysians in Elfwood were myself and Gin May. It was a very long time before any of our fellow countrymen joined us and even then, it was difficult to identify them because some don't mention their country of origin and others keep very very quiet!

Recently, I've been inspired by the success of Dutchelfwood and thought it was about time we put a Malaysian group of Elfwoods together, driven by the fact that I'd really like to get to know them. I made use of the search engines to dig up all "locatable" Malaysians. There were about 20 of them. An email went out asking if anyone was interested and I got enough replies to start the group. So, Elfwood Malaysia was born.

There were the expected introductions and initial buzz, then the equally expected laspes of silence, another buzz, then back to quiet again. I suppose our curiosity was duly satisfied! There have been no discussion on a meeting as most of our members are students, but there has been talk of a community project to showcase the fantasy side of our country. Perhaps you'll see something from us soon? We'll be sure to let you know.
