Given our publication date often falls around the 11th, it would be impossible for us to ignore the events that occurred one year ago in September on that date. In recognition of many of the great acts which occurred in the midst of that tragedy, this month's theme has been heroes, of many kinds and ways. I leave any further words on the subject of 9/11 to Megan Larson, who wrote about it in this month's Beyond the Woods.
Regarding more normal Woodworks doings, this month marks the return of #lothlorien quotes to our IRC funnies. Our thanks for prompt delivery go out to the new compiler for that channel! This month also features the debut of a new column, containing downloads for you to enjoy. Thus far we only have wallpapers available, but if you'd like to submit more things, or just to submit some wallpapers of your own, be certain to check the submission information in that column.
New at Bifrost!
Congratulations to Yifat Shaik, who has taken over the helm of Bifrost from the previous manager, Paula Fletcher. Yifat hails from Israel, and has been with the group since the beginning. "I hope I'll do a good job." she said. There are some new projects at Bifrost (one of them being our new column) so drop by their website and check them out!

I turned around today
Thought I saw you crying
Sad and feeling so afraid
You're strong and beautiful
All this no denying
You're a child of light
Though shadows cloud your way
