To be precise, I am at a severe disadvantage when it comes to reading The Red Tent. First of all, the book is clearly a celebration of woman and their spirit, their strength, and their survival. Being a male, I find myself probably having less sensitivity to the novel compared to female readers.

One of the first things Stephen King says is that you don't need a book to tell you how to write. Ironically, this is in his book On Writing. First of all, do not assume that this is a technical book about writing.

When we brought up the topic of movies to review for Woodworks I was quick to snatch up the privilege of doing this one. I later realised how difficult the task of being the one to give you my two knuts on the highly-anticipated and already highly-successful second Harry Potter movie would be, for what can I say that hasn't already been said?

There are no trailers on the Dinotopia video because there's no room for them. It's four hours of solid brach-riding, skybax-flying, submersible-diving action. The things which most impressed me about this mini-series gone to video were the action and drama of it's storyline, and the computer graphics which bring Dinotopia to life.

Is The Eyre Affair fantasy, SF, or Speculative Fiction, and does it matter? Hodder and Stroughton don't seem to think so.
