Elfwood Competitions
by Gretchen Sveda
Each month, we will be announcing a new Elfwood competition, open to both our artists and our writers.
Winners will be chosen by our readers via a poll, and the winner each month will have their choice of a donation made to Elfwood in their name, or a gift certificate for Ellen Million Graphics merchandise.
In future competitions we may also be offering a choice of signed original artwork donated by members (if you are interested in donating prizes, please contact us)
All entries will be displayed in our Competition Gallery and the winning entry each month will be featured in this column and in the Elfwood Hall of Champions.
Good luck and have fun!

Up, Up and Away!
Have you ever looked at your favourite superhero and wished they'd done one or two things differently? Have you ever thought about what secret power you would have if you were a superhero?
Here is your chance to design your ultimate superhero. You must include information about their special power, their weakness - everybody has one (even Superman had kryptonite), their secret idenity if they have one, and a little back-story into how they came to have their powers.
Your Superhero must be original, no fanart will be accepted.
Good luck, we expect lots of fabulous ideas for this one :)

Inorganics
The challenge was to design a living creature made of inorganic materials (stone, crystal, metal, plastic etc).
These creatures could be man-made like a cyborg or robot (but must be alive in some way), or it could be born as a silicon based life form from another planet.
It could be a crystal dragon, or a statue brought to life by magic (golems etc).
