Warriors 2: The Ultimate Fight
Reviewed by Robert Sjöblom

This is a rather amusing game. For a while, at
least. You take the role as a warrior: either human,
elf, dwarf or troll. When you've finished the game
with each race twice, you're allowed to play as a
Titan. As a Warrior, your goal is to go on adventures,
where you can meet peasants, ladies, monster and
everything in between. You are able to kill almost
anything in the world (if you have a high enough
level, that is), but killing peasants and innocents
will align you to the evil side. Scattered around the
world is several quests, magic items and potions, foes
and friends, and riddles to solve.
You receive turns each day, and one turn equals one
adventure. There is a level system as well, and
attributes to advance. There is a clan system
availible, though it's only in beta testing right now.
Strength: Quick, easy, and amusing.
Weakness: After the trial period, you must pay for it -
cost depends on how many days you're paying for (30 or 90).

The Kroz Series
Reviewed by Neil Harvey

Begin your descent into the Kingdom of Kroz; whip the monsters into submission, break through ancient walls and barriers, steal gems and treasure, and discover magical relics. And do it all with text-only graphics.
For years, you and your fellow archaeologists have been hearing rumours about the fabulous and dangerous underground kingdom of Kroz. Some have even claimed to find entrances into the kingdom, and come back with hundreds upon hundreds of rare gems and tablets. (And most often, lacking a few limbs) Now it's your turn. You've discovered a tunnel down to the vast underground areas, and you've decided to go.
Although it's rather antiquated by today's standards, the Kroz series can still be rather addictive. Its level design is innovative, for the day, and even though it's text-only, the simplistic graphics are top-notch for its type. Its largest problem is that it won't run on modern computers properly, unless you use a DOS-emulator program like DosBox to emulate an old system.
All in all, it's good to play if you want to take a break from the modern gore-fest games, or take a peek at how things were done 13+ years ago. I wouldn't recommend it if you like nice graphics or sounds, or indeed, easy playing, because I won't lie to you, this game is HARD!
Personally, I think that's half the fun.
Strength: Good level design, and solid basis.
Weakness: Outdated technology.

Tarzan: Guardian of Earth
Reviewed by Georgette Tan

You Tarzan. Me Jane. You are Tarzan. The game takes place in a thunderstorm where forks of lightning shoot down from the heavens and strike trees in the forest, setting them alight. Your mission is to put the flaming foliage out.
By running up to the tree and urinating on it.
You have a time limit to put out those trees. Your bladder will need replenishing every now and then, of course. You can do that by picking up jugs of Kool-Aid and cans of Peepsi (that’s not a typo).
Thankfully, this simple 3D arcade-style game doesn’t pretend to be anything more than what it is – a bit of silliness that will keep you entertained for approximately 10 minutes.
Strength: How can you not laugh at acid green pee that shoots high enough to extinguish fire on a tree?
Weakness: Don’t hope for too much.

Funeral Quest
Reviewed by Georgette Tan

In the little town of Deathville, competition for dead bodies is stiff. You play an Undertaker and your job is to bleed your customers for as much money as they can pay you for a bunch of products and services they don't really need. Your tools of trade are the right words at the right time - namely, buttons on the game interface marked 'Guilt' and 'Sympathy'. Using these correctly will enable you to soften up the customer so that they'll spend more. The more they pay, the more Burial Points (BPs) you get. The more BPs you accumulate, the higher you climb in ranking. Along with each sale (if you even close the sale), you get a tag. These come in wood, silver and gold, depending on which casket you persuade them to buy.
There are little extra things to jazz up the game - you can attack or rob other players, send them good or bad luck, buy supplies at the Di-Mart or take classes at the Spirit University to give your funeral parlour an edge. There is also a chat area where you can talk to other players and give away tags.
Funeral Quest is turn-based and requires Flash 5 to play.
Strength: There are limits placed on actions - how many people you can attack in a day, how many time you can be attacked, and how many times you can send luck to another player. A very fair deal, albeit frustrating because the game is quite addictive.
Weakness: The number of players on a single server is limited. However, there are several servers out there. You just have to find them.
