What do you do when Hollywood is flooded with "Matrix move" copycats? Lean the other way and speed up the action. In fact, the action here was so sped up that it was hard to see who was hitting who - not a very good thing when you know there is going to be a lot of fists flying before the credits and outtakes start rolling.

Artemis Fowl is a book that has a unique blend of fantasy and science fiction that will serve as a treat for fans of both genres. Eoin Colfer has been compared to J. K. Rowling in his ability to create a writing style that is easy enough for someone as young as seven to understand, but peppered with enough witticisms and clever jokes for an older audience to appreciate the humor. With a plot that’s as twisty as a drunken dwarf’s tunnel, it will have readers unable to put the book down.
