My name is Joel. I have been on Elfwood for many many years. Currently I attend a one year Christian Bible college in Massachusettes. So, sadly I dont have very much time for many of my artistic interests. However, back in highschool I seemed to have an abundance of time, and this is where I did most of my work. Some of what you see on this page goes all the way back to 2003 I believe, so most of my artwork here is dated. Please,  keep that in mind as you view them. All of my recent drawings have been portraits of people, landscapes, wildlife; none of which is fantasy related and cannot be put on this site. It is too bad because that is some of my better stuff. One of my recent pieces includes a 'best of show' painting I did of a whale's tale coming out of the ocean. Anyway, I still think there is something to enjoy here, so please do so! Pax!

p.s. You will notice many of the comments on this page to be about me being a Christian. Yes, I do believe Jesus Christ to be a real person, to have lived 2000 years ago, to have died to pay the price for the sins I have committed, but on the third day He rose from the dead to conquer death once and for all. Yes, I do believe that He ascended into heaven and is now sitting at the right hand side of the Father. Yes, I realized that I was a sinner and realized that my only chance for life and peace with a real God was through accepting my Saviors' sacrifice for me on the cross. Yes, I am a Christian. Some of the comments here are nice, some are not. Read and commentas you wish, but I would encourage you to contribute to the 'nice' category. Thanks!

I have improved since these drawings but they are not fantasy... so i cannot share them here. and yes i am totally sold out for Christ! And it is also nice to see more and more fantasy artists that are Christians who admit it as openly as you. After reading the comments, I guess there are some people out there that don't get it, and find it their purpose to really show hate to people that do believe. But just keep shining, because I know that you have a real gift, and you are also very intelligent and show a great amount of maturity in your spirituality as well. You have really encouraged me today, just when I was beginning to think most people were just going through the motions. If i was blurting out my opinions then surely wouldn't i have said summin along the lines of how Satan is ruler of all evil he is the supirior to god, how in the end it is Satan who will have the final say... Sorry, but have to say something, above tori- I think that it stupid to say christians are wrong, like we think people who are different from us are "imperfect" FYI!
