It's always been one of my banes in figure studies you did a great job or shaping and shading them bravo! =) Toni C Cogdell replies: "He,hee Thank you! I must admit I love drawing the bottom of feet and toes, you find some great colours down there! "

Toni C Cogdell replies: "Thank you It's interesting you should say that - I like my paintings to throw a little contradiction in, for them to have an edge to them. This is a good example of that, Celtic Moon is at one with nature and lives amongst lilies, but she also is a warrior of sorts and her waters run deep - hence the intense, dark expression. "

The only thing that bugs me a bit is the big toe on her left foot. Other than that this piece is beautiful. Toni C Cogdell replies: "Sorry about the toe Monkey "

Too many artists put their “people” into positions that are anatomically impossible and it’s a little irksome in my mind. I love the knot work and her clothing, as well. I think that the only thing that I might have done differently, were in my piece, would be to give her less eye makeup. Everything else about her is very simple and the heavy makeup is at odds with that, but I noticed from a previous comment that you like to make things that contrast and are not what people would normally consider, so, if that’s what you meant to do, then you succeeded. Over all, it’s beautiful!
