In the beginning, there was nothing, not even a vast blackness, for that would have been something. There was, nothing.
It was the nothingness we experience when we sit in a lit but silent room with our eyes closed. From the nothingness a spark was formed, and that spark was the Mother. The spark grew brighter and Mother was light. She became the bright burning sun which watches over all and helps cause life. She sent away several tiny sparks, which became the stars you can see in the clear night sky.
She sent another fragment of her light away from her and that was the world. It solidified to form a great ball of burning rock. The rock cooled as it sat away from her great heat, and she carefully melted the top of the rock to create the damp, moist soil. More extreme heat created water from the rock.
So the seas and earth were formed.
She sent another spark down into the soil and infused it with shimmering life. Her light and heat, combined with the water she created, helped the life to grow from the soils and in the water. Greenery and plants were sprouted from the wastelands. So life began.
Over time she wished for more diversity in her green and blooming world, and to witness others enjoy her garden as she did. So another spark was sent to the world and animals began to grow. First only small creatures, who ate the greenery and the plants.
Upset by the desecration of her garden, the Mother sent another spark down into the world, which created larger animals to control the smaller ones. The larger animals ate the smaller animals, and she was sad, and wept for their deaths. So rain fell on the world, and renewed the plants and water. Yet from her sadness the food chain grew.
As she moulded her world, creating mountains, lakes, valleys, volcanoes and other natural beauties, the animals changed with the land, and adapted to suit the areas they lived upon.
