I am running on a limited budget, but...I’ve always had a deep love for the concept of "nightmare" as a horse. To me, the deepest beauty of a horse is how they can be so loving, accepting humans into their "herd" so to speak, and accepting a bit and saddle, and yet still be somehow alien and free--even the most placid old gelding can seem wise and unpredictable at times. All animals are equally alien in that it’s hard to see their motivation at times, but with horses, that bit that makes them alien takes my breath away and makes them gorgeous. The concept of "nightmare"...a horse that is somehow tied into our unconscious fears and desires... is the perfect description of that feeling, and your art reflects that awe-inspiring mystery and power perfectly. Thanks for sharing it with us. | |
