| 9 Jan 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...I have no idea why, but I misread the title of this piece, and thought she was catching fire-flies... Anyways, please, please, PLEASE do a picture of a farie catching fire-flies. It would be so cool, with the light source being fire-flies. Only you could make it amazing. You're use of color, and just over-all brilliance... please? | |
| 22 Jan 2004 | Wishin I could DRAW! | Loading...Now THIS ONE is my absolute favorite! You made it so perfect! I wish I had a poster with this one on it! It is so beautiful! How on earth do you DO this! You are my favorite of all of them on here! | |
| 25 Jan 2004 | Hammy | Loading...This piece kind of reminds me of this other artist...Her name is amy brown, lovely artwork. | |
| 7 Mar 2004 | Sarah | Loading...These are magnificent! Shouldn't you be selling your own range of greetings cards, at the very least?! | |
| 18 Mar 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...Yes, this is VERY Amy Brown-like. | |
| 12 Aug 2004 | *~jaded~* | Loading...I think that people are over-reacting to the Amy Brown similarities... Its not as if you traced her pictures and then called them your own, you know? You DO have your own style, and it is beautiful. If more than one person in the world can own a pair of stripey stockings, then faeries can too >.< Oh, and I whole-heartedly agree...You should be selling post cards too!! Great job...on everything! | |
| 15 Aug 2004 | Springblake | Loading...what on earth... do u think this is Amy Brown-like? perhaps it is, perhaps the artist were inspired by Amy Brown, so what? just because Amy Brown always draw the same type of fairys (adorable fairys with stripey stockings on mushrooms) doesn't mean she got copyright on that, it probably wasn't her idea at first any way, she prolly got inspired from an other artist as well! and the fairy on a mushroom is NOT unoriginal, it's a CLASSIC! and I think the artist should get some cred for that... and no bad-talking of Amy Brown, I just meant that nobody has and never will get copyright on stripey stockings, people on mushrooms or a pose. ever. | |
| 28 Sep 2004 | Lily | Loading...I absolutely agree with the comment above mine. Amy Brown is not the first - nor will she be the last - artist to draw faeries with striped stockings. Hasn't anyone here seen Brian Froud's "Twilight" painting which was done years and years ago?! Striped stockings - hello! Same thing regarding mushrooms. It's a common theme in fairy art. Yes, Amy Brown's a talented artist, but her work uses themes similar to ones that were used by many artists long before her. Sorry, guys, there is nothing new under the sun anymore. Anyway. I think that _this_ is a lovely picture, and, Abranda, you did a marvelous job on it. Your other images are just as beautiful, too. Keep up the good work! Best wishes from a long-time fan! | |
