He has a very sad and beautiful story. The black boy was an young slave in the early XIX century, he cares the horses from a very cruel man. This man had a very nice white mare, which loved so much the boy, and loved to be carried by him. Some day, the man wanted to ride the mare, and she didn't leave him do that... and escaped to the field. Very angry, the master said to the boy to look for her in the fields, until the night. And the boy looked so much from the mary, but didn't find her... so the master buried the boy alive in a hole full of ants because he was very jealousy because the mare loved the boy very much. The mother of the boy lighted a candle to him, because she thought he was dead, and his body was desapeared. Three nights after, the boy came back and appear with the mare to the master, saying: 'You killed me, but I find her... and now she will be with me, to find everything other people lost... and ther is a legend: if you lost something, light a candle to the boy, and he will find it to you.

What a beautiful story! Your illustration really does it justice. I was moved to tears reading it, having recently lost something very precious.

Sad yes, but forever both of them can be happy and because of both being of a kind nature, all of us have a hope of finding things that have been lost to us. Do you know what their names are?

Lenda conhecidíssima, um pouco triste, em face da injustiça, porém, permanece bela. Ainda mais após sua exposição artística.
Realmente inspiradora, a fidelidade de ambos. Vamos às velas. Milhares, se possível.
