I see that your style does vary more than most (maybe I should take my own adivce for my gallery too ). And just to clear this up- Your other non-manga pieces work well too by the way. Bolland on a constant basis - sin city rocked as a film too!). On a semi-negative note, the main reason this piece stands out, is the style of it is different from the rest of your gallery... Anime is a fine style - but as I look on Elfwood these days, it seems that many others are liking it a bit too often... I can understand it’s basis in the Fan quarter, but in the main area it IS getting a little too common. Don’t get me wrong - your other works are well executed, and you understand all the elements to make a good picture... All I’m saying is I think (and it is ONLY my opinion - it’s not the word of God or anything) that you’d get more out of doing the (very nice) work you create, if you let the whole ’Manga-esque’ style alone a bit and developed your own style more. Ashley 'Paradox' Craft replies: "Understandable. My style is more western comicy than manga-ish. However when I get requests, they tend to be for a more anime style.
I agree with you though, it becomes a dime a dozen issue at some point" | |
