| 27 Dec 2003 | Robert 'Rab' G. Lavery | Loading...It does, now do you actualy speak Latin like myself or did you get that from a dictionary? No offence I just want to know.. Jessica 'Vestaka' Douglas replies: "*laughs* No I do not speak latin, I have a facination for the english language, and where the words have come from. So I've looked into quite a few. This one I know, because I researched it a few years ago. Had to look up the spelling for the latin word, but other than that, knew it. Wow. You speak latin? Is that your native tongue? Or did you go to school for it? Forgive my curiosity, I have this passion for languages, never been any good at learning them... but they draw me. You should ask Jude, I'm constantly bugging her about German. " | |
| 27 Dec 2003 | Robert 'Rab' G. Lavery | Loading...Celibate.. what's that? Yes I am sheltered, I know... Good pic though. Jessica 'Vestaka' Douglas replies: "The word celibacy comes from the latin Latin caelibatus, meaning unmarried. Eventually it was incorporated in the english language and expanded to include abstention from sexual intercourse and abstention by vow from marriage. That answer your question? " | |
| 28 Dec 2003 | Arianna Felina | Loading...Isn't learning new words fun? BTW, thank you to Hemloch, I wanted to know the same thing! *is saved from having to ask* Yes, I do live in a hole where information cannot get in, I know!!! *is embarrassed* Love it, it looks so velvetyyy... *strokes feathers to find they actually ARE velvety, and is killed by Micheal for touching him* oww... Jessica 'Vestaka' Douglas replies: "feel free to ask me whatever words. I'll do my best to answer... " | |
| 9 Jul 2004 | Fluorescent | Loading...I've said it before...I'll say it again. The hair is great. I really like long...and long-ISH hair on these boys. I have a question. On your birth stone angels, the gems hanging off the wings was the common factor in all the pics...in the male angels, are the ropes the common factor? Just wondering. I like the feather in the hair. Jessica 'Vestaka' Douglas replies: "Not really, it depends on the series I'm doing. If it was the corruption series, then the setting was the same in each pic. The birthstone angels had birthstones on their wings, the fallen angels (male or female) had 'rune cloths' binding their wings, etc. " | |

| 29 Jul 2005 | Maartje Roest | Loading..."I have this passion for languages, never been any good at learning them... but they draw me." I have the same thing! My grades for French and German are not exactly good, but how I love words and poems and pronunciations! I even did Latin and ancient Greek a year and I love being more capable of understanding where some words in English, French and so on come from. I have a few words which I keep saying out loud, just because they sound so terribly beautiful. Almost forgot to say something about the pic, but wow, I really admire your skill with colored pencils! Your gallery is one of my favorites on elfwood, and I come back to it from time to time, so I can once more drool over your pics. | |
