I was cleaning out my tropical fish tank, when I noticed what cool patterns my lionfish had. I decided that it would make an excellent faerie.

Very beautiful! Could you imagine having a fairie like that swimming in a pond outside your house? O.O

This is lovely. Lionfish are very beautiful fishes, and I love the idea of a fae/mermaid one of them! Only, aren't they salt water fish? Why the freshwater cattails then? Much prettiness, anyway.

I love it when people base their mer-folk on real species. You did a very good job. I also love that you always color in colored pencils, it gives a softness to the picture. I hope you keep drawing forever

You're right. Beauty in nature does often signify deadly intentions, which makes them all the more beautiful, because you never can really tell. It is stunning.

Precious! In my romps through the Woods, (my email is Elfwoodaddict@hotmail.com if that tells you how much I peruse Elfwood) I have come across water fae (winged mermaids) & lionfish mermaids. To my best recollection I have never run across a fae lionfishmermaid.
Kudos for your imagination and your fine artwork.
