SciFi and Fantasy Art Bob the Elven Archer by Alon Rand

This is another RPG character I played for a little while in a game I sadly had to drop. This one, however, is not a character of my creation. He was an NPC before I joined, and he is once more, now that I had to leave. His name, for some reason I was never entirely able to discover, is Bob. He's an extremely skilled archer (he aspires to become a Zen archer, which would mean basically he could kill anything in a single shot from half a mile away. Blindfolded.), and was quite fun to play, while it lasted. I was sorry to let him go, but ah, well.

1 Sep 2003	Anonymous	Loading... The arrow belongs on the other side of the bow. Great pic none-the-less. Alon Rand replies: "Actually, no it does not. I know how to use a bow. The arrowhead is supposed to be on the outside of the bow, whether it is being used left or right handed. If it were placed on the inside, when the string was released, the fletching would tear up the archer's fingers. Imagine a bow in your hand. Hold it pointing at the ground at your feet so that your palm is facing towards you, holding the central grip. The arrow should be placed such that it rests on the outside of the bow. As you draw back on the string, you pull the bow up so that your arm is perpendicular to your body and the fingers holding the string are roughly level with your ear. This places the arrow on the ouside of the bow, as shown above."
15 Nov 2007	Rua Lupa	Loading... Great stance, nice clothing, weapons look great, and what a beautiful recurved bow! I also like how the cape flows over his foot with the boot cuffs dangling like they do.
