The arrowhead is supposed to be on the outside of the bow, whether it is being used left or right handed. If it were placed on the inside, when the string was released, the fletching would tear up the archer's fingers. Imagine a bow in your hand. Hold it pointing at the ground at your feet so that your palm is facing towards you, holding the central grip. The arrow should be placed such that it rests on the outside of the bow. As you draw back on the string, you pull the bow up so that your arm is perpendicular to your body and the fingers holding the string are roughly level with your ear. This places the arrow on the ouside of the bow, as shown above." | |
