SciFi and Fantasy Art Desert Tree by Alon Rand

Another example of what one can find when flipping through women's magazines. They had some article in this one about summer styles or something, and the accompanying photos were all of this woman posing around this absolutely fabulous dead tree sitting below the high-tide line somewhere. I just loved the visual of it, and tore it right out. I put my tree in the desert, though, and my woman has wings and a somewhat different outfit. I've got a detail of the woman up over at deviantART, too. I actually drew her separately, much larger, to get the proper level of detail, and composited her and the scene together in the computer.

15 Nov 2007	Rua Lupa	Loading... Wow, the tree looks perfect in the sense that you have it look normal, real, with flaws that add to it's beauty. Also, the angel's wings are gorgeous and everything is proportional and attractive to the eye. Great work, you definably blossom in your pencil work.
