SciFi and Fantasy Art Fireball the Draeken by Alon Rand

This is the leader of the Draeken team sent to this sector of the galaxy (see Path for more details there.) His unique power is that he can form balls of energy in his hands and hurl them. Each of these draekens are supposed to be a different color, but only Path is finished. The difference in color reflects the life cycle of the species. The young are born white, and as they reach puberty, they molt and turn blue. When they have reached adulthood, they molt again to green. After they reach their prime, they become gold. With middle age comes silver, and the elderly molt to black. Fireball is currently gold.
