Maybe some mountains to the backround. Well he is a mountain elf, and i think that would fit it perfecly

A very cool picture. He looks charismatic. But the ankle on his left leg is just too thin. Also, for backdrop, I recomend an open starry night, set on a high mountain pass. Just a thought.

Lightning clashes upon a moonlit sky, christening the mountain pass with an unworldly light...out of the storm's illumination a figure emerges ready to fight the good fight...The wind dancing upon the storm, his cloak fluttering about like a sea of midnight.... Just my idea for a background. I love the mood this character establishes..as you can tell I kinda took liberty with that mood. *g*is it obvious that i'm a writer?

He looks fantastic! The way the boot twists on his left leg is a little strange, but that's okay. My only nitpick (and actually, this applies to several others as well, except that I only just figured out how to say it) his fee look a little . . . well . . . tap-dance-shoe-ish. A little to round and thick. Boy, that's a big sword . . . He must be a strong guy to carry it around in one hand.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I HATE it but there are several things which could be improved. The left leg is twisted unnaturally, almost like it's broken. Also in relation to his body, his arms are unnaturally positioned. His face could use some smoothing out of the lines(people's jawlines are not usually characterized as having dark lines on them), and the lines and texture of the shirt seem a little unrealistic, maybe it's just the shading. Overall it's not bad, but it's almost as if you didn't edit it before posting it. So it's not bad, but it's also not your best work as a final product.

I agree with you, frankly. I've never been satisfied with this picture at all. I've always meant to draw it over again. I didn't like it from start to finish, and still don't. It'll be one of the first to go when I reach my quota of 50 pictures.

Give me that cloak. I'm sorry to say it but you do better with words. Mind you, you're too good at words...

The boots seem to be alittle high I mean boots that hich would restict a person alot and an elf...it would be a pain...(being a Ren Fest person I've worn leather and chain mail boots...and if either were to go even 3 inches above your knee...you wouldn't be able to move swiftly or comfortably)
