SciFi and Fantasy Art Rapine by Alon Rand

This one's name is Rapine, and I'm rather proud of this picture. I think the coloring on the character came out very well. The back and foreground could have been better though. Anyways, his basic ability is he has mental control over electronics of all types. He is armed with a staff and plasma launchers on his forearms. The staff fires energy beams. There are no external methods of firing either of these devices, making them useful only for him. He is a master theif by trade. He was also born with only 4 fingers, and has thumbs on his feet instead of big toes. They are longer than normal thumbs would be on, say, an ape's foot, to allow him to still walk upright. and unlike apes' his foot thumbs are opposable, like his hands. He tends to be very acrobatic, and tends towards cat burgler methods in his thefts,though on a larger scale, usually.

3 Jun 1999	Xyara	Loading... Yes, the coloring, as well as the texture of the figure, came out very well on this one. The almost dull, smooth shine of the blackness is impressive, especially in contrast with the more granular texture of the blue portions of his armor. His posture I also like.
4 Jun 1999	Alon (the artist who rambles too much)	Loading... That's their RPG, right? No, I've neve rhad the pleasure. Though I did used to read quite a few Marvel comics a few years back. I stopped when they started butchering the stories and characters to badly (or not butchering them enough, as the case may be. You get tired of it, after awhile, when no one ever STAYS dead. One can only take Magneto returning from certain death a couple times before it gets more than a little old. He's up to what, 6 or 7 times at resurrection now? I lost track...)

15 Jun 2000	Alon (the artist)	Loading... ARGH! I posted this thing 5 times because it wouldn't show up....I had to go in today and delete all the extras. Oh well, on to what I was going to say. I would like to know what, exactly, you are talking about, goldvypr....he has not got a scythe at all. It is a metal staff with oblong shapes on each end (one of which is above the edge of the image, and the other is partially concealed by his hand and feet) but there is no scythe blade of any kind on it. I know what I drew. Sorry, but you must have seen things wrong.
