Pax the pegasus is the fourth of five models I plan to build of the "big five" - griffin, phoenix, dragon, unicorn and pegasus. I made this model out of styrofoam (head and neck), metal wire covered with duct tape (body) and pipe cleaners (legs). Eyes and hooves are made out of fimo clay. I used felt to cover the body. The mane and tail are made from "doll's hair". Head and ears painted with acryl paint. I had to cut each and every feather to the right size and shape, but the wings turned out so realistic, three people thought I was carrying a live bird when I took him out to be photographed. =)
