| 15 Aug 2005 | Martin Hauser | Loading...Griffins ! yay! hello. I like it, it's one of those really good looking griffins. I think there are always two of the most impressive Creatures combined to form them. Really one could expect them to have more then just a _bit_ of pride. Nice done artwork. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Yes, I agree Martin. Griffins should be proud creatures. This one here is a semi-rp character, and he sure have a rather vain and proud personality. =) But good-hearted as well off course." | |
| 16 Aug 2005 | Chelsea Beiler aka Kitty13 | Loading...Wooo! Griffin! This one is really pretty. I don't think he's supposed to be that skinny lol but I draw mine like that too so I can't criticize. I love the paws and the face! -Kitty13 Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Skinny? *lol* Well, it's a difficult balance between graceful and powerful... and I think griffins should be both." | |
| 17 Aug 2005 | D. 'Yolaron' Hendrikson | Loading...Holy cat! That's really good. I like how he has four paws instead of bird feet on the front end. Much more practical for running and pouncing! nice job. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "I know it's not traditional to give the griffin four paws, but as you say, I find it more... correct in a way. =) The biologist in me has spoken." | |
| 17 Sep 2005 | April Ann Kurowski | Loading...That is got to be the best griffin iv seen in a long time.Nice shading and detail its awesome. well done Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! ^_^ But I think I kind of overdid it with the shading a little." | |
| 11 Jan 2006 | Spirit | Loading...The shading is awesome- I wish I could shade, but when I try, everything comes out pretty much the same colour. *sigh*. Ah well. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "For a good result with different shades, you could try to use hard and soft pencils. The soft pencils give a darker shade. Thank you for stopping by!" | |

| 8 Aug 2007 | Tim Stoffel tim@lio...us> | Loading...Nice work! I prefer gryphons to be on the leoine side of things, and this one nicely fills the bill. I do agree though that the wings need to be bigger for such a heavy animal. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Let's say that the sceleton of the griffin is more avian-like than feline-like, so it's not so heavy as it looks. Or it suffers from the bumblebee paradox... Or when everything else fails, one can just claim that the creature is magical and can fly fine anyway. =)" | |
