	My invented race, the Feng Ji (half elf, half phoenix) have a close relationship with the phoenix birds. The otherwise shy and ellusive birds willingly and often make contact with the people of the Feng Ji race, as in this meeting between a young male and an old female phoenix. (The japanese writing on the picture says 'Akaihane' meaning Redfeather - my online nickname.)

3 Sep 2005	Rickard KJ Fornstedt	Loading... It's outrages that a perfectly fine picture like this has not yet got any commentaries! Well... maybe I'm over reacting, but it really is a lovely picture. The positions of the phoenix and the feng ji and the bird's "pose", I believe, looks very natural. It is also obvious that you have given this picture the time it deserves. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Thanks for the kind comments Rick, but in fact, you are over reacting a bit. =) At the time you commented, the pic hadn't been uploaded for 24 hours even. (whisper I'm very happy with the bird's pose...)"
4 Mar 2006	Davina Behin Jones	Loading... This is also a very wonderful drawing! The movement of the phoenix and the interaction between her and the tamer is great! I really like how you drew him from the back rather than just profile. And the long tail feathers, of course, are just awesome! Emma JC Nilsson replies: "I usually have a bit of trouble drawing pics like this one and get the interaction natural. For me, it was easy with the bird, but I had some trouble with the guy, so I had a person pose for me. I'm glad you think it turned out alright. =)"
