SciFi and Fantasy Art Thirkin by Emma JC Nilsson

This is Thirkin, the anthro-genett, one of my roleplay characters. He is rude, sneaky and ill-tempered, but far from evil. Being a nocturnal predator off course also contributes to his untrustworthy characteristics... (The chinese characters on the picture reads 'Chi-Ri-Kin', Thirkin's name as it would be written in japanese. The meaning for these characters are in order: Wits, Logic, Now, a description of this character's personality.) 4 Sep 2005	Rickard KJ Fornstedt	Loading... The feather-ear ring makes him look very human or civilized. Even though the pose is an important factor, I still believe that the ear ring is the most important detail stop him from looking like a normal animal. Cool little fellow! Emma JC Nilsson replies: "I was debating if I should make him wear clothes or not, but in the end I only gave him the earring. I think the fingers give away that he's an anthro, but some think it just make him look like some kind of monkey. o.o, I guess it might."
6 Sep 2005	Reck	Loading... Hey cool picture again. It must of took a while for all the detail. I like the earing too. it makes it look a little different which is good of cource. Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Yeah, I worked on this one for a while. The spots were the most time-consuming part, but also the easiest. Funny how the simplest of things can take the longest. =)"

I love the way you get so much glossiness with your shading style. Beautiful! Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Thank you! I'm satisfied with the result of this one, especially the hands. Generally, I really suck at drawing fingers, but this one I'm pleased with. I'm glad you think Thirkin is original, actually, I don't remember how I came up with the idea. I think I was just fascinated with anthros as I had just learned about them, and I happened to like genets, so... =)"

Emma JC Nilsson replies: "Thank you. =) Thirkin is a male. I haven't done many anthro-pictures at all, I'm afraid, I usally do humanoids with just ears and tail, like nekos. There is another kind of anthro-being here on elfwood, check it out if you like. It's called 'Lorian'."
13 Aug 2006	Samuel E Martens	Loading... I love this one. The earring adds a nice touch. I never saw an animal with an earring before. Obviously sentient, Thirkin looks like he’s thinking. Love the tail too! Emma JC Nilsson replies: "The earring is there to make it clear that Thirkin is an anthro and not an ordinary animal. Finishing the picture, I thought he looked too much like a lemur, or something. =/ Thirkin is smart and he might be pondering some slightly wicked plan... =)"
