| 26 Apr 2006 | Ajder Andrei | YOu have some interesting pictures, and since you asked for critickin your bio, this is what I have to say about your stuff in general... Well, firstly, your equines... moist of them look really thin, especially around the belly, shoulders and hindquarters... to the best of my knowledge, the thickness of the horse's body should be just a little bit bigger then the length of it's head. And, overall, if you are aiming for more realistic horses, making the necks just a little bit shorter might help. Though, mind you, I am no expert in horses ( I bearly see one from a distance from time to time ). And secondly, just try working a bit more on your backgrounds... a background, no matter how simple it is, will enchance your pic... Ok, these were simply my views and ideas, so feal free to ignore all of them... and good luck with future pictures... Alicia Hansen replies: "I really appreciate the crits! Goodness knows I need them. Truthfully, though, a lot of my equines up here are older. I hope I've improved somewhat, but my newer pieces are horses, not unicorns (and, obviously, not allowed here). I will work on it, though. Thanks again!" | |
| 2 Oct 2007 | A. Thomason | Your gallery is awesome! You have a good grasp on equine anatomy and you use color well. Keep up the good work Alicia Hansen replies: "Thank you! I am happy you think so, because I've been working very hard on my equine anatomy." | |
| 6 Nov 2007 | J. Thomason | What do you think is your best work in your gallery? (or favorite)... Alicia Hansen replies: "That's a tough question. One of my favorites will always be Wraithguard, because he represents a major turning point in my understanding and skill level. I think my strongest piece is probably Flame Walker. I think I got everything right on that one. I can find stuff that needs improvement or change on every other piece." | |
| 25 Nov 2007 | Holly L. Holdsworth | Hey, I didn't know you were on elfwood! And that's a nice doggy you got there! It's Jimbo, by the way Alicia Hansen replies: "Good to see you here! It amazes me how many artists I know that I find here too . . ." | |
