César Augusto Espinosa Yáñez, SciFi & Fantasy Artwork by César Augusto Espinosa Yáñez at Elfwood. César was born in April from 1978 to the south of Mexico City. He graduated like psychologist of the Metropolitan Independent University (UAM) in 2005. His work as sculptor and creator of masks began in the year of 1996, since then He has been developing a special technique to work my pieces with paper. He has participated in 6 exhibitions of fantastic art since 2003, also He has collaborated in the design of masks for a pair of theater events. Actuallya He lives and works in the City of Mexico.

César Augusto Espinosa Yáñez replies: "That is true, most of the people that look at my work think that is carved in wood. Im a little affraid of using colors, but I love the way my work see with the papper I use."

César Augusto Espinosa Yáñez replies: "They are made with a technique called cartoneria, it is quite similar to the paper mache, but you use strips of paper with glue over a wire skeleton, and then you mold the piece layer by layer of paper... The most traditional alebrijes are painted by hand with brush... but these are painted with an airbrush"
