Most people are unaware that the sterotypical swan winged angel is nothing more than the inability of the early Christians to properly read the Hebrew scriptures. The only winged heavenly creatures in the Bible are actually the seraphim, a word that means fiery flying serpent. And to remove all doubt, in some ancient biblical texts, the greek word Drakon is used in place of Seraphim. No humanoid angel has wings.... that is why they are mistaken for humans in many scriptures. The Devil/Satan is called a dragon in the Bible, not becuase he is evil, but because this is the normal form of all the Seraphim. As my next book demonstrates, Yahweh of the bible is also a dragon.
In fact, Yahweh is breathing fire all the time in the Bible, but the only thing the Satan dragon ever spews from his mouth is water. | |
