As most of my recent pictures, this one started as a playing around with colours and brushes because I wanted to get used to digital drawing and painting again yet I had the Plant Spirit in my head all the time.
This one was done really quickley.

I don't have so much to say what explains the picture because it is a random "happening" again. I didn't plan it.
It is roughly another concept painting for my story line. If you can remember one sketch of my sketch dump about the plant spirit, there is a very similar to this one.
There are more pictures in my head about it and those will be planned and better described.

For now, I just can say that I love mos so much hence I put as much as possible into the picture.
And yeah, I was depressed earlier today and moaning how well concept designers can paint backgrounds and foliage and now I did this picture without reference. Funny, isn't it? XD

I think the banana shake I made today helped me a lot to push up my fantasy. lol

Woo, interesting. The background is so gorgeous, I love it. The leaves and the light are perfect and the ground is perfect and... everything is perfect! Heh. Great work, really beautiful and dreamy. Congrats on the Mod’s

It really does look more impressivve if you see it full size. You can’t help wondering who the creature is, whether he is a good guardian of the forest, or an unpredictable and dangerous part of the wood or a being captured or cursed to be forever magically caught in the endless sea of green. : )

My first thought, Princess Mononoke? lol, lovely picture and very serene. This also slightly reminds me of Wolf’s Rain, I highly suggest you check out both of the animes.

:-) Claudya Schmidt replies: "May I inform you that my plant spirit and the story behind it is not dedicated to Princess Mononoke or Wolf’s Rain.

Absolutely gorgeous. I took your advice and clicked on full view and wow wow wow. I love the plant details on the wolf and that forest looks like a magical place indeed.
