A painting, which started with a funny idea and a scribble in Photoshop.
Since hornbills are my most afvourite birds in the rainforest but I also wanted to work on a griffon picture that time, I thought I could merge them to get a funny and colourful creature. It's not as funny as it looks like though.
As always, I built my own thoughts about creatures and characters while working on them.

For example is the Gryphon Cassidix a creature that lives in the rainforest and eats fruits only. The mixture of a hornbill and a puma with different colours and fur was interesting enough to finish that painting. When I first finished the scribble, I lost my motivation to continue it and left it in my folders for ages and ages. One week ago, I found it again and opened it to llok, if I can continue it and started painting the fur.
Like on each drawing or painting I do, I can hardly stop finishing it because there are always things to find which can be re-done or refined. Till the colours and the details were set, a week was over and I finally could put the lights and shadows on the creature and tree.
After the background -which I finished last- was done, I vectorized my logo and set it on the right side below. I will use it in every drawing/painting in future. It's a lot clearer than the one I scribbles before.
I would need a tutorial of how to draw wings. lol...These are wings with which the griffon isn't really able to fly. Just imagine that they can't fly but climb...

The picture was scribbled and finished in Photoshop 7.0 by using a tablet and it took me ages to finish.

Thank you a lot fo looking!
