Sitting in front of a dark forest on a rock and staring into space, the picture contains light and darkness.

I know that less people would dare to wait on a little rock with the backside towards the dark forest. This little Faun really has nerves.
Though the picture is in earth tones again, I wanted to make it look a little old. Like an old photo. I think it didn't work so well at first, but I'm quite pleased with teh result.

The first sketch of him was done with a biro while sitting at school and having Marketing. Blah...
The lineart for the coloured version was done with a coloured pencil.
I coloured it with watercolours.

I love anything that is done in water color. things that are painted on the computer dont ahve as much feel as ones that were created with careful stokes of a paintbrush.


this picture is just beautiful. the ambience that this (fawn) creature is basking in, is almost solitairy, and depressing, yest cheerful and hopeful.


the warm lighting really gives this picture deminsion, and in geneneral, this picture is beautiful.

the 70’s anime style is really refreshing. i’ve always been a fan of that style but no one seems to draw it anymore (unless they are manga-kas that started in the 70s.......) but i love the angst/drama in the faun’s face and body language
