I hav removed the old Minotaur picture, and in-place is a more satisfactory rendition of the legendary Greek monster. Figure I've do him more justice by posting one that is newer; cos the previous pic was like done a long long time ago. Most people know about the Bullman of Crete and how it was eventually slayed by the Greek hero Theseus, so I decided to write about the origin of the Minotaur : At the time when the Cretans prayed to the sea-god Poseidon, King Minos was at a power struggle for the right to be the ruler of Crete. Minos wanted to convince his followers and supporters that he is the one chosen by Poseidon, he prayed to Poseidon to present him a snow-white bull which could only be bred by the Gods as a sign of approval; he promised to sacrificed it upon becoming king. However he succumbed to greed and kept it for himself; sacrificing a substitute instead. The sea-god was angered and inflicted Mino's wife, Pasipha with zoophilia causing her to be deeply attracted physically to the white bull. She commanded the famous Greek architect, Daedalus to modelled a wooden cow, which is hollowed in the middle. Pasipha hid inside the cow and they copulated; which led to her conceiving the terrifying creature known as the Minotaur. Daedalus was also the builder of the intricate Labyrinth which housed the Minotaur.
