'Therefore Morgoth came, climbing slowly from his subterranean throne, and the rumour of his feet was like thunder underground. And he issued forth clad in black armour; and he stood before the king like a tower, iron-crowned and his vast shield, sable unblazoned, cast a shadow over him like a storm cloud. But Fingolfin gleamed beneath it like a star;for his mail was overlaid with silver, and his blue shield was set with crystals; and he drew his sword Ringil, and it glittered like ice, cold and gray and deadly.'

Wow; what an amazing pic! The thing that makes it the best are not only Morgoth and Fingolfin, but the mountains behind it. It *really* appeals as though it were part of Angband. Keep up the good work, Peter-- I mean Alex!

(Sorry; it's just that you kinda look like Peter Jackson, and I mean no offence! :13

It's similar to the link I listed in my homepage, but I like your composition of the silmarils. I think the armor spikes could be a bit more curved or perhaps textured to emphasize Fingolfin as the focal point. As they are now, they point away from him and detract from the visual heirarchy.

Wow, this scene rivals the power and the might that I had to overcome atop Zirak-Zigil. I bow to thee Alexander Sceneforger.

IMPRESSIVE

Finaly I can imagine how would that weight be "... and Morgoth set his left foot upon his neck, and the weight of it was like a fallen hill."

EXCELLENT!!!!!! Almost exactly how I'd picture Morgoth looking. And I love how the colors sort of move into each other like it was all done in one brush stroke. Awesome.

very impressive picture because it shows the nonterminating lordship of both of them, Fingolfin and Morgoth!
