| 17 Dec 2002 | Annalng | Loading...Aw, I like Boromir. He was a nice guy, really... just a bit too patriotic . I like this, 'specially his shirt, and the perspective is great too. The fabric doesn't have the greatest texture, but oh well... such is life, eh? Alexander J. Harron replies: "Well, this was a study more than anything else, but thanks very much for the kind words, Boromir's one of my favourite characters!" | |

| 14 Jan 2003 | Morag K Hannah | Loading...No WAY would Boromir ever wear taht much gold braiding. Still, I love the stance, very him, and the features are pretty close. Very nicely done. Alexander J. Harron replies: "Well, this is Boromir in ceremonial garb, maybe from the Council of Elrond, where he'd be wearing nice clothes. I'll do one of him in everyday getup soon." | |
| 16 Jun 2003 | Gia Ariana8604@hot...com> | Loading...Very, very cool. Very realistic. It looks just like him. (Except Boromir's not built up that much.) Clothes are cool, too, though not really him.Everyone's built like awrestler in my world, hee hee. I guess I tried to make it look like Boromir was uncomfortable in ceremonial garb, and such...</a></i> | |
| 27 Jun 2003 | Vanaheim | Loading...This rendering of Boromir really stands out from many others I've seen, admittedly because he's quite close to the way I've always pictured him in my mind. The weight lifter's muscles actually mesh well with Tolkien's passage during the attempted passage through Caradhras: "Aragorn was the tallest of the Company, but Boromir, little less in height, was broader and heavier in build. He lead the way, and Aragorn followed him. Slowly they moved off, and were soon toiling heavily. In places the snow was breast-high, and often Boromir seemed to be swimming or burrowing with his great arms rather than walking." All in all a great depiction of Boromir: you really captured the pride and strength of the character. Alexander J. Harron replies: "Boromir was always my favourite character from Lord of the Rings, so I'm pleased you think it's a good rendering. Thank you!" | |
| 12 Sep 2003 | Turin the strong | Loading...boriomir just great just great i like how you make him strong and shorter than arogorn and how you did his face and his look and the proudness of men of gondor. PERFECT!!!!!!! Alexander J. Harron replies: "Thanks again Turin!" | |
| 24 May 2005 | Andy Guest | Loading...Boromir's certainly the man, can't beat a good flawed hero, especially one who's hard as nails. I really like your version of him, great outfit and expression on the face. | |
| 29 Nov 2006 | Dale | Loading...Ahhh...there he is...there's Boromir...I was so upset when the movie made him out to be some psycho killer that only joined the Fellowship to get to the Ring, and did the same thing with Faramir. They weren't that easily corrupted in the book, from what I remember. This picture makes me think of the REAL Boromir...the one in the book that I have come to love every time I read the Fellowship. | |
| 2 Feb 2010 | Ella | Loading...Nice job! You got the arrogance-pride-love-of-country expression just right and the perspective is wonderful. And he’s not dying. That’s a first. No offense to the artists who draw that scene, but it makes me sad. | |
