'In this age, the land moves. The Earth is no longer the dormant, inactive creature she once was. Her bloodlike lava bleeds at a whim. Her still lakes can weep raging rivers. Her Mountains rise and fall with her breathing.

'Yet still, a fledgeling city appears. It is not as ancient cities of before the Tragedy, rooted in the ground like a dead tree, static, lifeless. This city moves with the earth, treads across her skin, seeks out her riches and pastures, steers clear of her open wounds and deep wrinkles.

'This is the first of the Anglir Charas, the Walking Cities. These are great caravans of cities borne on the backs of ancient beasts. This city is deigned by it's people as Charas Anglir Buur, the City of Walking Thunder. Since the Tragedy that changed the shape of the earth, there has been no order, no justice, no law. Will the people of Charas Anglir Buur reset the balance of the world?'

:-) Alexander J. Harron replies: "And thus it begins... This is from the same mythology of my Drkkrn people, and I've created a whole little world of nomadic tribes and races that ride dinosaurs and things. Check back for more stuff!"

This is one of the most creative pieces I have ever seen in the woods. the sheer magnitude of those thing is incredible. My fav of your pics so far.

:-) Alexander J. Harron replies: "Thank you. I guess I got a bit of inspiration from the Hindu mythology of the world being born on the back of a giant turtle, but downsized it so that it's cities on the backs of dinosaurs."

Wow, very original. I never thought of the Earth this way. I love how the bits of land look like dinosaurs almost. Was that the look you were going for?
