Tag As FavoriteComment		I do a fair amount of realistic work in pastels, but most of it doesn't fit into the Elfwood theme by any stretch of the imagination. When I was given the assignment of a still life I decided to make it fantasy. The hour glass potion bottle, and dragon's claw pipe are all personal items of a wizard. Oh, and I had to scan it in pieces and put it together in Photoshop, so I hope the joints aren't too obviously jarring.

Hey we are in the same boat 18 self taught and desprate for comments. He he he . this is amazing the way you did the glass and the pipe the background it all looks so pro. not to mention you have the ability to use color very well

Beautiful! The glass bottle looks like it's taken from a photograph - the glass of the hourglass looks real as well. Amazing!! <dances around> The best still life I've seen - the only fantasy still life I've seen ^_^ I love it.

I like the glass effect that you have caught in your picture very good indeed. I think the pipe could of been placed a bit better though, but that is just the layout of the picture, the rest of it is very nice.

Very good pastelwork.. It is very difficult to draw real looking glass items with pastels.. =)

Nice fantasy still life u have here. I haven't seen a lot of these around. I must say you really captured the glass effect!!!!!! Just lovely. simple but lovely. I wish a had this talent with pastels.

Very nice! It's something that I would put on my wall. I really liked the hourglass. The bottle is nicely done, although the blue was dark enough that it seems to take away from the detail. As I said, it's still something that I would put on my walls!
