The west was blazing in the fires.
Soon the shadow of war would cross over these forests and scorch them into a barren landscape.
In the Amber Citadel none had slept this night, its myriads of lights shining through the gathering darkness, reflected by the silver light of the descending moon.

A matte painting of a massive citadel, and a jolly commission for Eduardo- for the design of a web page for the local wargamer/roleplayer community.
His specifications were:
A cityscape of a gothic-looking "Citadel" with some bright colors and many lights.
In the sky would also be a crescent moon and the name of the site "Citadela" (with the inverted "C" replaced by the crescent moon).
A dark landscape, with a bright cloudy sky (at sunset for example), and the cityscape in the right side of the picture.

Oh and if you're wondering why the moon is so giant- that's because it makes an inverted letter C, for the "Citadel logo".

perspective for the domes that are closer to the horizon are a bit off, they should be flatter. but other than that, stunning. Amazing detail work

Looks like I may have a proposition for you in the future. I will keep your name close in my book. I like your style.

It's spelled M-I-N-A-S T-I-R-I-T-H, people. Next time you want to make such comparisons, check your spelling first or people like me will laugh at you.
Kudos to the artist! I will compliment you on something random that I really liked about this picture: the trees. They are fabulous! So realistic and such a nice contrast to the extremely smooth-textured and complicated city. The city is amazing too, of course.
I also agree that it's not really Gothic architecture--definitely more of a fantasy feel. I mean, whoever heard of of such a huge Gothic structure anyway (lack of pointy roofs notwithstanding)?
I like the bridge as well. Perilous.
I don't think the moon is obvious enough as a C, after I went and looked at the logo. It's probably way too late for you to fix it, but to me it looks like "itadela." I don't see the C, sorry. Good idea.
Great artwork. I'm awed at your skill and patience!

This is amazing. I love how dark your pieces are, very surreal. I love it.
