SciFi and Fantasy Art Fairy on mushroom by Alex Pass


	Pencil drawing. The wings are based on a photo of a butterfly. I added the mushroom in afterwards (and unfortunately I think it looks it) when I saw another elfwood artist's work which had a fairy sitting on a mushroom. It was going to be one of those classic red mushrooms with white spots but I couldn't get it to look right.

I love the post and the wings..so delicate. I even like the tilt of the head. ahh i have to come and comment and stare more often smiles thanks for the comments on my site! Alex Pass replies: "Haha, well... all this stuff has been made during the last year and this was done about two months after joining elfwood so... I guess I don't always improve."

You should add a sort of magical aura to her, fairy dust from the wings or something. But I'm not criticising! Alex Pass replies: "Are you wanting to eat the mushroom or the fairy? Thanks for the ideas but I rarely go back to old pictures."
27 Mar 2004	Yerbatron	Loading... Had you not said anything about the mushroom, I wouldn't have been able to guess it. And I love the expression on her face. She's no way /beautiful/, but she's got something very intense and haunting about her... Alex Pass replies: "Maybe cos it sticks out like a sore thumb to me i guess it looks like that to everyone I'm not keen on her face any more - too much cheekbone - which is prbably what makes her look haunting.
