AH! Another Canadian vegetarian artist! There are too few of us around! By the looks of your map, you're an Ontarian. I'm an New Brunswicker, myself.

Your art definitely has an element of the grotesque, and that's sorely missing from a lot of fantasy art (mine included...). You can see the cubist influence (hence the Picasso reference above). It's very engaging. Sort of sorrowful and ridiculous at the same time. Quite unique around these parts. Love the photography as well.

Thanks for the comment on my gallery too. Cheers!

:-) Alex Cox replies: "You're right, there really are too few of us 2Thanks for your kind comment and thoughts on the elements of my art..."

Greetings Alex!
I really like your work! That´s what I call a unique style. Pretty weird pix! I love weird stuff, reminds me a bit at Tim Burton Stuff, like all the cool creatures from Beetlejuice! Oh yeah, I like the messages that come along with every pic. Had to do something alike I think but I´m just a "normal" fantasy artist...Sniff! Bye!

:-) Alex Cox replies: "Thanks for your sweet comment 2 Your art is wonderful and anything but normal...no fantasy artists work is normal...Peace&Love"

I am in the process of deleting my 4 year old account that I haven’t looked at since I made and while I was doing so I noticed your kind comment regarding that sad mermaid thing, and just so you know I've improved immensely since then focusing mainly on realistic sketches. So feel free to contact me should you desire. And again I really am grateful.
