When she put it in the pot and covered it with soil, I had to stop. Sorry. You made it sound as if it were the size of an acorn, or possibly a eucalyptus button. I did manage to finish the story. Interesting. Alison Clare Grills replies: "Fair enough, I admit I don't really garden so it was a work of pure imagination and I may have been off the mark. I just wanted to create the putting to bed and tucking in image. I guess she could have just pushed the tiny seedling down with the tip of her finger but it doesn't quite have the same feel.
