When she put it in the pot and covered it with soil, I had to stop. Sorry. You made it sound as if it were the size of an acorn, or possibly a eucalyptus button. I did manage to finish the story. Interesting. Alison Clare Grills replies: "Fair enough, I admit I don't really garden so it was a work of pure imagination and I may have been off the mark. I just wanted to create the putting to bed and tucking in image. I guess she could have just pushed the tiny seedling down with the tip of her finger but it doesn't quite have the same feel. At any rate, glad to hear suggestions, very much a learner in the story stakes. More of a poet by nature." | |
