05/20/06 Um, well, haven't been by in a while. Mostly because my computer went caput, and when the Elfwood system crashed, my password changed and I haven't bothered to request it before now. Other than that, been busy with work. Finally working in an art related job, which is very exciting. Took me a whole year of working in retail to get here though. Also now have a Wacom tablet. Very exciting. Most updates can be seen on Deviantart since it's easier to upload there, so just go to the "own gallery" link for more up-to-date stuff.
Thanks to all who have visited my humble little gallery of too many sketches and silly creatures. I'm happily graduated from college and still not a professional artist yet. I've appreciated all the comments and criticizms people have offered up. I do still find myself improving, albeit very slowly.
A selection of artists of influence are Leonardo Da'Vinci, Max Ernst the surrealist, Den Beauvais, who does beautiful dragons, Bob Eggleton's dazzle of color, and Daniel B. Merriam's enchanting surrealistic works to name a few.
I read a lot. Among others, Tolkien is a classic fantasy favorite, along with the heart-stirring Charles de Lint, the eloquent Barbara Kingsolver, the harsh ponderousness of Margaret Atwood, the fantastical, playful Alan Dean Foster, and the dark, sultry Laurell K. Hamilton.
Besides that I've long had a love for the outdoors, nature, and the wildlife that is a part of it. Despite the mosquitoes, sunburns, and ants, it's still a cool place to be.
Well, congratulate yourself if you've actually read through all of this blurb. Be welcome to leave any compliments or criticizms, both have equal value to me and most of all have fun exploring through this tangled mass of half-finished, finished, old and new artwork.

I think I like your sketchier stuff the best, like the werewolf in "Emergence" - he's got some real energy and drama going on. But the bill series is pretty darn cool, too! jess

And yes, I trade as well from time to time! *waves* Tylior Alice Hsieh (Changewinds) replies: "Well, hello Yes, look me up for a trade some time. My gryphs aren't always goofy. Just never end up getting the well polished stuff up. Still stuck in the nether regions of my sketchbook like so much is. *Sigh* But anyway, thanks for coming by!"
