Azrael is of the precinct Lisieth, in the realm of Dianos. He is the Commander of the Border Guard that vigilantly patrols the Woods of Helias, a forest that contains the gateway to the Mortal World. When the original world was divided into two, and the Magi World was placed in an alternate plane, knowledge of Magi existence was erased form mortal memory. However, occasionally a descendant of someone that lived at the time of the Transition finds some memory of the Magi in the recesses of his or her mind, usually starting a hunt for proof of magical humans. Some search with the longing to join the Magi, others hunt out of hatred. Whether they have good intentions or not, the Border Guard protects against any mortal intruders, as the awakening of all mortal memories would most likely result in a devastating war much like that which caused the Transition of the Magi all those centuries ago.
