Hi! I'm Ally.

I'm an Australian Marketing graduate, and spent the last year and a half or so learning and performing theatrical sword fights.  That's right, I know how to fight like those oh-so-famous pirates of the caribbean ^_^.

I love to draw anime, horses/unicorns, and pretty much anything fantasy. Most of my work centres around the stories I write, stories which are currently being rewritten into what will hopefully become a novel or maybe several novels, depending on what I can pour out of my brain.

I got a graphcs tablet for my 21st birthday and I'm learning how to draw and colour with it.  Thanks for stopping by!

Her talent is sure, with some practice she could be great at this.

Hi there! I saw that u wanted som constructive critisism, and thought i should give you some hints about what u can work on to get better.
I think your proportions somtimes are a bit off. For example the hands and feet tend to be a bit small. But the rest of the body mostly looks good.
And I also think u can work on drawing perspective. Your pictures becomes a bit flattened out, kind of like in anicent egypt, (u can c it in the picture with the sword on the bed)...
I think u have potential, and hope u continue drawing!
Hope u appreciate my advice too?
Hugs Trude

:-) Alison Hanslow replies: "Thanks a lot for the comments, I'll certainly take them into consideration, especially the perspective stuff. Thanks again 2."

You have some greate pics in your gallery and I can see that you have talent, no question about it. But I do have some coments to help you on your way. First and for most, the shading! Its so important to remember to shade, or els the pics often look very flatt. You are shading in the most of your pics, but I would recomend you to use the contrast between light and darkness even more. Shading can also indicate the relations between the components of your pic (the closer a thing is to the viewer the more diferense there are between light and darkness, if a thing is far away its less contrast between the light parts and the dark ones.) By the way; I dont think your stuff is Disney rip ofs at al. They are more alike real Japnees manga. Good luck and best wishes! (I hope that you can forgive me my bad english, Im not very good at it!)

:-) Alison Hanslow replies: "Thanks for the support and advice, much appreciated! I do tend to avoid shading in my pencil stuff unless I’m confident it’s in the right places, which isn’t very often, so I opt for the flatter style deliberately. Now that I have a graphics tablet I can do a lot more, so I’ll definitely remember your tips! Oh, and I actually removed the ones that looked a bit like disney stuff some time ago, just so everyone knows!"

Thanks for the visit and comments, always nice to know someone has been, seen and enjoyed. I do like your artwork too, lovely pastel colours, so delicate. Mine are always rather ’in-your-face’. Very pretty. Keep it up!

Hey. Just curious; I’ve seen that you’ve revealed a bit more about Kiara’s powers and how she’s one of the demi-goddess’. Was just wondering if you’re going to do the others? I’m especially intrigued by Aerian, plus I love the fact she’s wielding a bow. So I’d love to see what she is and the others as well. From the little snippets it sounds as though your novel will be quite the page turner. Keep it up

:-) Alison Hanslow replies: "Hi, thanks first of all, and I may do the others in their demi-god forms in time, provided the inspiration comes upon me to do so 2"
