| 10 Jun 2003 | Tiina Piippo | Whoa... I spent quite a lot time here in your gallery and have to say one really gets in bad mood here because of that Kiki person... Well she really is so brave leaving those comments without e-mail address or link to her own page so that she could show that she even can draw herself. One should never blame someone other as a bad artist if can't show one's own talent. *grins annoyed* She must be really bored or having her periods going or something when she has to leave that trash on your gallery. I agree with Heidi's comment: just delete it. Someone as bitch as she is doesn't deserve the attention you give her. This "everyone has a right to have an opinion" stuff doesn't mean you have to listen everything. I understood it is your choise to leave every comment but I really hope you think it again... But about your gallery. I like it and you can be proud of it. It means a lot to know that you really CAN do art; many people do the mistake that they consider themselves bad and untalented (and too many times with no reason at all) and that's why they never get anywhere. You know when you have good ideas in your work but you also seem to know if something didn't go as you'd have wanted it to go and (or at least I hope so) you try again instead of leaving the sobject. Perhaps there are things you can't do very well but you can always learn. No one is perfect without practice. I also like your use of colours; I usually am too scared to use bright colours myself. Only the lack of shading bothered me. It is something you should try, it would give more form and life to your pictures. Well, I hope there was some sense in my comment... Thanks for visiting my gallery, you're always welcomed to come again! Allisyn Bridges replies: "Thanks for the constructive criticism. I've been working on adding shading but it takes alot longer when I shade and a lot more work and I've just recently started playing with shadows. I think its been going pretty well." | |
| 22 Jul 2003 | Rina Silvea | hopefully not EW will limit the art(the only rule will be that the images has to be finished-not scribbles, or sketches).Dudes, go to epilogue if you want to see perfect art. I self prefer dev art due to the reason that only the members can comment and rude comments isn't even allowed. sheesh...that's why I don't like Ew very much. | |
| 24 Aug 2003 | Laura S. Tolhurst | Riiiiiiiiiggghhht..............*is very confused about the random comment above*, if you don't like Elfwood....why do you take the time to comment....... I like your gallery and the ideas and the use of colour you put in it, I can see that you are a growing artist and proud of the fact that you are improving! *hugs Allisyn* I'm off to comment on the great pictures now! *bounds off happily to comment* Allisyn Bridges replies: "*Hugs Back* I'm pretty proud of me too. It's so nice to finally be getting positive comments. Thanks for commenting." | |
| 31 Aug 2003 | Ali | That is so cool! I have no imagination when it comes to drawing...all i do are elves, dragons, unicorns, elves, dragons, unicorns... This is so cool! The photo manipulation (blech, i hate spelling that word) is cool, I WANT TO BE A CENTAUR! (But all I can do is play RPG....) Anyways, cool artwork, I really wish people would stop being such a pain to deal with on message boards such as this. I completely stand behind you on your work. Don't let others put you down. What do they know, anyway? (Just referring to that jerk, not you other nice people, you guys obviously know LOTS) Allisyn Bridges replies: "Someone needs to draw the typical fantasy stuff. Just try and do your own spin on the old theme. Photo Manipulation is fun to do. If you want to send me a picture of yourself I'll make you into a centaur! Thanks for being positive." | |
| 1 Sep 2003 | Sarah Tesch | Oh, and I thought this retort of yours towards Kiki was classic: Kiki: And also, all your art has to be fantasy, and some of what you "draw" isn't. Like that slut girl or whatever. Let me play; guess your incurable disease.Hmmm.I would have to say stupidity. Haha! Mind if I use that sometime? Allisyn Bridges replies: "Make use of it with my blessing. I had fun thinking of it." | |
| 1 Sep 2003 | Sarah Tesch | Hi! Just finished browsing through your gallery, and I must say you do have loads of talent! But in my opinion, your art would look FANTASTIC if you made it seem a bit more realistic with shadows and highlights... which you did with your newer picture somewhat, which is good. Awhile ago, I came across someone's gallery here that had tips posted on a web page for computer colored art from a great artist. So I figured... why not give them to you? The address is: http://www.nutkitty.com/socartips.html . They are detailed and quite helpful. Or if you would like to go into more realistic pencil drawing... I must suggest a great book. It's "Drawing the Head and Figure" by Jack Hamm. It has step-by-step instructions with lots of pictures. Perfect for anyone. But anyways, I hope you will let me know when you update, I would really like to see your work in the future and gawk at your improvement. And be sure to never let people like Kiki get you down... they are just "jealous bitches". Toodles! And sorry for the long comment! Allisyn Bridges replies: "Thanks for the advice and the link. I'm working on redoing alot of the picture in my gallery using shadows and highlights. There's some really great methods that are shown in FARP that I used to do my latest picture. I'll try and let you know when I update but don't shoot me if I forget. Thank you for moral support and the comment." | |

| 10 Oct 2005 | Dave Cripps | He he just landed on your gallery via the random selection on the main page. I do hope you've got more stuff comeing soon. I like the centaur nicely done. Although as people have pointed out a little rough but I bet your newer stuff is even better. | |
