Alton Lawson replies: "Alas, I am afraid I simply was inspired by the works of R.A. Salvatore and the Forgotten Realms of D&D to do some of his characters with my variation. As an artist at previous times paid by WOTC to do works for D&D I felt no shame in doing images I felt were inspired by but not manditorily made to the literary description of the author. I have seen many variations and felt that I was not unwarranted at trying my hand at an inspired version of his characters. I do want to redo the hair to make it more curly and obviously red but other than that I was very pleased with the work.Thank you for the time and observations."

| 26 Sep 2006 | Alton Lawson | Loading...So the Glowing Bowstring and Arrow are Not Fantasy enough???Or is it the Fantasy style armour that exists NOWHERE IN THE WORLD that I designed for a WOMAN??? WTF??????? Are you freaking out of your minds? What is the current definition of Fantasy??? By the way I think R.A. Salvatore and TSR might disagree with your assessment that his characters are not fantasy. Whatever. Since no one can contact the lofty ERB folks to ask any questions like this I guess it goes. What about the other two versions I have on the page? Are they somehow different??? | |
| 27 Sep 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Well my friend. It would appear that the Name is the reason someone's dislike of this image and probable ERB feltch requests.
Perhaps you should have drawn a Cheese wheel with a pointy hat and called it Gandalf Brie?

| 7 Apr 2008 | Abdurragmaan Everxian Bassadien | Loading...i loved the trilogies written of in Forgotten Realms and D&D (played d&d too) liked the pic generally, except as pointed out (blah blah blah yawn monotonous) not the face of Catti that i envisioned. but as a useless artist, i can only bow in respect at the art. | |

| 10 Aug 2008 | Altonlawson | Loading...Actually the yelling was at the ever wise ERB. Not the audience but that was necessary for the description to make a strong point they were having a hard time understanding. | |
