SciFi and Fantasy Art Eclavdra by Alton Lawson

This one was a real treat for me. I had never before done a Drow elf. I have always liked them and the mystery surrounding them. This lady is all about Lolth! The original character appeared on a Dungeon magazine cover and I was sent a copy for reference. But of course Clerics do not use swords so she had to have a mace in her hands. The Amulet she wears is a really powerful artifact from Lolth to Eclavdra. (actually I was originally told Elavdra and I liked that name much better but whatever, I still love the character.) She is a 23rd level Cleric. I loved painting every pixel of this character. Every last buckle and strap. Every reflection in the armor. oooohhhhhh..... aaaahhhhh. (ahem) Look for more of my stuff in the upcoming 3rd Ed. Monster Manual 2!

23 Nov 2005	Anonymous	Loading... Originally the character Eclavdra first appeared in the TSR module G3 Hall of the Fire Giant King. Eclavdras' noble house Eilservs, ranked 1st within the Drow city of Erelhei-Cinlu, turned from Lolth and proclaimed their diety to be an Elder Elemental God. Though I'm not certain when the name of this god first appeared it was by name Ghaunadaur. Eclavdras' appearance was described as wearing silver embroidered black robes and a skull cap, with long silvery hair...I mention this in hopes you might be inspired to make another of her, I've always loved the character. To comment on the art, it's truly beautiful.
