A normal recurve (and I am assuming Taulmaril is a recurve) would not be so straight. If you look at the picture, you can see that if the bow was not being drawn, the string would rest almost right against the actual bow. This would be impractical for an archer, since she would have to fumble at the bowstring to nock an arrow, wasting precious time. If the space between the bowstring and the bow were a bit bigger (meaning the curve of the bow would be a bit greater) it would maximize power and make the bow quicker and easier to nock. Other than that, though, it's a beautifully drawn bow. Oh, and the girl's nice too. Alton Lawson replies: "You are so right! I use a bow and I did not even think about the draw area when I did it. I know exactly what you mean. Not sure I can fix it now but will keep that detail in mind when next I draw someone with a bow. Thanks for the observation."

The intricacy of the armor is not out of line with the dwarven people at all. It is often quoted that elves craft items of almost ethereal beauty, the same is true of their earthier counterparts. Is there more beauty in creatures that move amongst forest and stream versus those that live within the heart of marble and jet? Whose feet tread the crystalline fields of emeralds dotted with clustered flowers of rubies and diamonds versus blades of grass and wild roses? Is there more nobility to touch the rippling surface of a babbling brook rather than the luminescent glory of an underground lake? The gilded rays of the sun are not comparable to the twinkling warmth of softest gold gleaming around you? Mmmm....you're right. Dwarves couldn't possibly craft something that beautiful. Alton Lawson replies: "This took me to all of the places you describe. Your stories compell the heart to fly and the mind to wander. Thank you. So do you think her armor was made by Dwarves or Elves? My vote was for Dwarves originally. But as you have noted I think it could be either way."
