I lived in campinas Brasil for almost four years... it was a long time ago and I have alll but forgotten my portugues... would love to practice it sometime.... Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "How cool!! If you want to practice, just drop me an e-mail - I'm sorry if I cannot answer right away though, life has been so busy and, as you can see, my gallery is collecting dust for a while now. I hope it all comes back to normal soon..."

Wish I could draw as well... I am currently waiting to be published here at elfwood... maybe you will find the time to comment on my gallery wen it is posted would love some creative advice/criticism.... Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "Thank you so much for your very kind words, Sherri! =) Practicing is the key... I haven't been practicing at all for these past couple of years (life is way too busy!) and I bet anything I tried to draw right now would come out terrible. | 26 Dec 2007 | Stephanie S. K. Marbach | Loading...Btw: What's a tortillon? Sounds like something which really helps while shading and working with pencils... ! Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "A tortillon is a blending stick made of compressed paper. It comes in various widths and has a point, so you can do really detailed blending with it. It smudges charcoal and pencil work beautifully! I used to blend with a finger, but the tortillon is obviously MUCH better. =)"
