	'Rest ye here weary traveller, on this bed of leaves, under the warm blanket of the sun' - the Ranger overheard, from a whispering voice that seemed to come from the very heart of the ancient trees; an invitation she would never have declined. Poser Pro and Photoshop 6.

16 Dec 2004	Richard Bergqvist	Loading... Awesome pic... Impressive light and texture, good pose, good composition... It's all very good, of course. I have only one complaint: the closest tree (other than the one she's leaning against) is a lot more blurred and less in focus than the trees that are the farthest away. This gives the whole pic a warped sense of depth - if you could change the sharpness/blur of the background, I think the whole piece would be even better. Plus, it looks quite reminiscent of one of my own drawings... weird coincidence =) Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "Thank you for the amazing comment! Indeed, the focus is distorted that way. I hadn't noticed it, frankly! (The background is a 2D one, I simply had to blend the 3D elements into it.) I guess I could pass the whole thing through Photoshop and give a proper blur to the furthest trees... but I won't beat a dead horse. This is an old piece! (And I'm being lazy!) Btw, I visited your beautiful gallery and indeed it's very much alike to one of your own pieces! Well, I guess the 'adventurer leaning against tree' has been done to death, hasn't it? =)"

12 Jan 2005	Amanda	Loading... I can't believe how good this is!!!!! Why isn't it a mod's choice!!! It really deserves it! Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "Awww, that's so kind of you! But the mods know what they're doing - this piece didn't give me much trouble at all. =)"
2 Aug 2006	Elrize J van Vuuren	Loading... OMG this is so awesome!!!!!!!! The background looks just like a photo!! Too bad I'm cluless when it comes to computer software, but it is something I would really like to try eventually. I just can't stop staring at this picture... it's too good for words. Amanda Kümmel Magalhães replies: "Thank you so much! I'm not going to lie though, that background is probably what you think it is, a photo. It was pre-made, so I'm not sure of its origin. The challenge here was to make background and foreground match in terms of lighting, color palette and atmosphere."
