SciFi and Fantasy Art Vulpecula by Amber ´Vantid´ Hill

Vulpecula is the Starbeast of foxes and other small dogs. There are about 42 Starbeasts in all and each of them is assigned certain animals to watch out for. Everything from the majestic lion to the lowly fyl has a Starbeast. The Starbeasts are based upon Earth's animal constellations, like Ursa Major and Minor, Delphinus, and even ones people haven't really heard of before, like Musca the fly. I modified the fly to a butterfly tho....because i can. ~.^ Anyway, this is Vulpecula, prismacolors on Strathmore charcoal paper...the wrong side i might add. Oh yeah and hes not quite finished yet. Plus the scan choppeth off him lil earsth.

And the ruby in the middle of it’s head, what is that for, and how did you do it? Did you use charcoal, or pencil to blend the colours on the nose? How did you do the eyes? What do you think of the picture? Is it one of your faves?
